The Wrong Royal Mug

To commemorate the royal wedding of Will & Kate, we created an alternative memorabilia mug. Instead of Prince William, we mistakenly used Prince Harry’s face. It was the wrong mug. As the innocent perpetrators of this mix-up, we set up a Chinese sounding company called Guandong Enterprises Ltd. Then we let people decide for themselves whether it was a genuine mistake or not.

Within a day, the news had gone global. People everywhere, from the steppes of Russia to the Australian outback, were scrambling to buy the Wrong Mug. It was even taken on Prince William’s stag do.

The Wrong Queen

A year later, Guandong Enterprises were back with another mug. A mug to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Except, true to form, they had mistakenly put the wrong queen on the front. Instead of Queen Elizabeth II, they had put an image of her dead mother.
